Devo is an American new wave band that originated in Akron, Ohio, in 1973. The group is known for their unique blend of rock, punk, and electronic music, along with their satirical and often dystopian themes.
Their most famous song, Whip It, became a big hit in the early 1980s, and their visual style—complete with energy domes and quirky outfits—became iconic in the music scene.
